Hi Aral, we can confirm the football was displayed on the hub screen, as this was requested in advance by a number of delegates and speakers. We thought it was the best way of keeping people at the festival, so they could keep an eye on the score whilst enjoying the content.

"We thought it was the best way of keeping people at the festival"? I really don't know how to reply/react to that, I'm quite in disbelief to be frank. Aral has all the rights to be angry and disappointed.

Consider that a blessing, You are now sure that all present İn the auditorium were genuinely interested in your talk and were not checking their iphones for the score.

That sounds a little bit too narcissistic.

We realize this wasn't ideal for speakers who were on at this time, but we didn't anticipate England making it this far when arranging the festival! So we made the best of the situation and tried to strike a balance. Thank you very much for participating.
