@aral Do you know any ethical and privacy focussed cloud provider that is (almost) as easy to setup/use for non-technical users as Gdrive, has a good API to sync data and offers at least 2GB of free storage per user?
Hey there, I hear lots of good things about NextCloud although I don't use it myself. (DAT-based solutions are going to be awesome for that use case as well as mesh-communication/sync/replication in general.) A few years ago, I would have recommended SyncThing.

Thanks a lot for the pointers. They don't fit (yet), as setup and UX especially for non-technical users is not trivial. We aim to build on Dat later. These are ones I found interesting on first glance: https://www.pcloud.com/ https://www.sync.com/ (however no API as it seems)
