I've been wondering about that. Along the same lines -- what do you think of https://civil.co/ ? It looks like a way to raise money for local journalism.

Sounds interesting. Will take a deeper look into it. My main criteria are the intent behind a thing (is it social justice or a libertarian get rich quick fantasy, etc.), how things are funded (commons or VC, etc.), trust required? (open or closed), enclosable? (FOSS or open), etc

Thanks for the info, so which browser is best to use?
-
If you’re in Apple’s nursery, Safari. Otherwise, it’s a bit harder. I’d say Firefox for lack of options but you’ll have to go through the settings to turn off all the surveillance. Maybe we need a private-by-default Firefox fork (it’s not trivial to maintain a browser fork).

A fork of Firefox with privacy in focus exists. It’s
#Tor Browser. ;) Cc@torproject

BAT is optional. It’s not activate by défaut. You can use
@brave without the wallet or ads. Users have the choice.@BrendanEich No tracking and profiling if a#Brave user don’t want it ? I am wrong ? -
Ah, that C-word, again.
