Corporations—especially surveillance capitalists—care deeply about “data privacy” (data security), because your data is their asset & must be kept secure. They also care deeply about your privacy but in a different way: their bottom lines depend on how well they can violate it.

Personally, I use it data or information privacy when I am making a point of distinguishing it from spatial privacy, bodily privacy etc. There are different types of privacy and not everything is data. Which is a good thing, right? We want to keep it that way.
