@Plinz When you look at Google or Facebook from a purely technical perspective they're not actually delivering very much which doesn't already exist in the free world. Mostly they're marketing/media companies who also happen to make websites.

They are far ahead of competition in terms of UX and “eliminating friction”. Easier when centralized and non-ethical.

Centralized systems are easier to build, but from the user point of view the amount of friction on Facebook is stunning. It's genuinely difficult even to type without the UI dropping characters.

Not disputing the point of UI problems and the general bugs/flaws found on fb, as it will be a ffairly common issue in any platform aiming nearly universal adoption. More in the line that it's way faster and efficient having a centralized (1/2)

entity with no overview/ethics to create a frictionless(addictive?) experience amoung several platforms. Try not using fb and google for a day and see how much of ur non-related internet experience will decrease. Hint: Lots of forms (2/2)
