As a born Irish catholic who values life and would never conceive the thought of terminating a birth I conceived.. I welcome this as life is not black and white and what suits me does not mean it fits others rights to make a human choice to do the right thing for them.

And does the person who you conceived this embryo with and who is the one that’s going to carry the child, deal with any complications, possibly put her life at risk, and give birth to it have any say in this? Because I don’t see any mention of her in your tweet.
-
PS. Sorry to nitpick, but this is also an important point: You weren’t born Irish Catholic. You were born an atheist and indoctrinated into Catholicism by your parents and your community/your society. If they’d been Muslim, you would’ve been indoctrinated into Islam.

Your right, no arguing that here ;)

So where do the rights of the people living in those wombs figure in to the mix?
-
Savita Halappanavar’s death was one of the catalysts for this referendum. I urge you to read this http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-20321741 … as well as the heartbreaking stories shared by women who have suffered under the 8th amendment: https://www.repealeight.ie/category/personal-stories/ …

Feeling even better about our recent move to Ireland now that I know Laura’s rights are better protected.
A win for the rights of people with wombs is a win for human rights and social justice.
