Isn’t it time to stop this madness? The “will of the people” is not a historic constant. Given what we now know about what Brexit actually means, it’s time for a second referendum. It is time to make a decision based on the facts that exist instead of the lies that we were told.https://twitter.com/guardianscience/status/999925552113840128 …

Galileo is interesting to me because it's the first satnav system with an encrypted commercial high-accuracy signal (which can't be spoofed because it's encrypted, unlike GPS/GLONASS civilian signals) as well as a military encrypted signal. So the EU wants to charge money for it.

But the subtext for the argument over the encrypted military signal being available to the UK, which is now not going to be part of the EU, is just another mess. The UK & France are the only nuclear powers in Europe right now, correct? Maybe Galileo should be a UK-France project.

Or maybe this is why the EU is suddenly unhappy about the UK leaving the EU but still wanting the same military access to Galileo (to aim their nuclear missiles). How could this have made sense either way? What if the UK & France have a nuclear war (besides nuclear winter)?

UK is going to build their own satellite system? They don’t even make their own cars any more!
