    By applying the python scripts by Angie , and incorporating more models available now, here is a summary of ECS from abrupt-4xCO2 for 20 CMIP6 models up to date (with time-varying feedbacks taken into consideration)

  10. Compared to other CMIP5 models, CESM1 is an end-member on nonlinearity. GFDL-ESM2M also has a big nonlinearity (and IPSL-CM5A-LR almost as big), but most models don't.

  11. What does it mean? Well for one thing, nonlinear responses aren't additive, which can be limiting for isolating the response to just one forcing (like GHGs or aerosols)
