Want to immediately feel 50 yrs older? Do something dumb, like standing on a stool to re-hang a heavy 96” fluorescent lamp bc you’re too lazy to drag a ladder over 20 ft, then fall on the concrete floor and bruise a rib. I now have the groans and sighs of a much much older man.

…is how an uncomfortable living space — too hot, too cold— if not life-threatening, robs us of sleep. That in turn affects every aspect of how we go about our days. It feels like a human rights violation.

…we still rely on a lot of coal/nat gas and residential oil is still very much a thing. I also know more than I wish I did about how tough collections are on people with delinquent bills in our major metro areas…. 2/

Talk, please, on #MLKDay2023. about inequality in your community re: climate. I’ll start: I worry about people facing high heating/cooling costs in Michigan, since we get the business end of both summer and winter. Statewide we’re lower than the national average but… 1/
