I would argue yes. Need to protect Americans. World vaccination challenges will not be solved by foregoing boosters. Asking world to mask test isolate and use small supply of vaccines shippable is realistic

Even from a purely nationalistic perspective, I don’t understand why it makes sense to let the pandemic rage and generate more variants when our current vaccine dosing protects against severe disease

I’m troubled by this. In addition to the global inequities, parents of young children with school starts looking disasterous in places wish the decisions about EUA in that group happened as quickly as this decision

Why are they not recommending state indoor mask policies to help protect everyone too?

Bingo. That seems most immediate way to prevent many breakthru infections. Breakthrus were (wrongly) underplayed as “rare.” Hospitalizations going up. Best thing to do NOW is mask indoors, vaxxed or not.
