The thing is, this kind of mindset is really not ok in other fighting games from what I’ve seen. These people get scrubquoted constantly and they’re a big reason the FGC thinks we’re a joke. But for some reason so many people here genuinely think this way it’s so stupid
Since ultimate is such a huge community, I feel like a lot of people interested in fighting games gravitate towards it, but they're sometimes dissapointed because it doesn't fit their very specific expectations. Folks definitely need to branch out and try other games

After having played UNIST for a while I definitely had a better appreciation for what separates ultimate from other fighting games. Some people try and force themselves to like it since it's popular, but there are so many other great communities people don't wanna explore : (
