Wait what? That's not how that works, of course ace and aro people are welcome in the community. If being attracted to people of other genders counts, then not having that attraction should also count. That's just weirdly exclusionary, it's not a private club or something

The idea is that you shouldn't have to face discrimination to have a valid identity and have a welcoming community. Especially because so many people try to invalidate their identity with "oh you just haven't met the right person yet" the same way they do with gay people
Invalidating their experience because you think their discrimination is "fake" is just contributing to the problem
