    I want to talk about something I see in a lot of TV animation backgrounds. I think it comes up because of a combo of reasons, but essentially it's an extra 5 minutes of work that would probably improve about 95% of BG paintings!!

    Whew!!!! Definitely the hardest thing I've ever tried with CG, but here we go! Rigged photoscanned characters playing nicely with mocap data! This has been a dream for so friggin' long, I always left my environments empty cause I was terrified of CG people.

    I recently found this amazing Color Study done by From what I understand these are comparative graphics, analyzing the Palettes of the works of great animation directors. But, not in terms of color choice, in terms of Value Range, and Saturation.
