Globalism is impossible and a sham. Listen to Noam Chomsky on the subject. As long as there are a multitude of countries with vastly different ethnic traditions and ideas, the idea that a New World Order is going to work, is a fallacy. As it should be. It is simply Us vs. Them.

Exactly. International relations has always been and always will be defined by anarchy.
-
And even within each country there are significant differences of ideology that have the potential to tear them apart.

Yet to read it. My view is that present sentiment relates to the stage of evolution of the tech age. Similar concerns existed in the 20s & 30s when the potential of the industrial age revealed itself. People clung to national ID & leaders who embody it.
-
Reflecting on this, weak leaders who confidently articulate their fears is probably closer to the truth. We live in interesting times.

Globalism will win out. No tariffs, no censorship, no quotas, no walls, no racism can stop the flow of ideas, trade, and progress. But these barriers wont' make MAGA any time soon.

I think people who read have more depth to their psyche. My kindle is full of interesting reads. My son who is autistic reads and writes his own stories. A chip off the ol block. Reading is a gift for the brain and to others to pass on knowledge that they didn't have before.

Our reward system is backwards. We reward resource consumption, when the opposite should be profitable. Reward those that make renewable energies, self-sustainable products, and practice life-affirming behaviors that help everyone. It is so simple, yet so complex for some to get.
