Let’s also break this data down to understand why... data is just a snapshot. It doesn’t give us an answer to stop it. We have a culture issue...a weakening of psyche that leads people to believe this is the only outlet. Guns are simply the tool they use to be heard.

Some more data. Just because someone used a gun to commit suicide doesn’t mean it’s more terrible. Suicide is sad and heartbreaking, no matter which method is used, and using a gun doesn’t make the outcome worse.pic.twitter.com/QNEi6Z5LcC

Not trying to insensitive. But we already have gun control. Is there a way to see how many of those gun related deaths are caused by a mentally ill person? We need mental health checks as well.
-
How in the fuck can anyone claim gun control in the states? I’m canadian. Your “gun control” is a hot dumpster fire compared to our model. Canadians still can possess weapons, and we have far, far less gun violence. I don’t understand how anyone can argue against that.
-
Gun control is already in place anyone can get a gun if that want one bad enough. No matter what “control” you have in place any mentally ill person with enough money is gonna get one regardless if control is there. Its more mental health then control.
-
Stricter gun control limits the instances where that is possible. People always argue that about mental health... so what’s your solution? Why not try a similar model while you’re figuring that out? Cuz while you’re all disagreeing, people are dying every god damn day.
-
Dude no matter how much stricter the gun control is. You are missing the point yet again. Any person with enough money will still go get a gun no amount of “gun control” can stop if one has enough money. There needs to be more mental health checks.

Not taking into account population size. Unless you're breaking it down in a fair manner that way. USA will always look like the absolute worst at this. We are bad at it sure. But nowhere near what the photo projects.

Don’t forget your own backyard- Hollywood. Hard to find statistics of the number of gun related deaths in movies and TV but it sure seems to be rising. This from 2013: https://www-m.cnn.com/2013/11/11/health/gun-violence-movies/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F …
