as a Canadian it’s absolutely mind blowing. How many more senseless deaths till you deal w/the problems rather than attack someone trying to change that, while explaining laws can be amended without having your “precious” guns taken away. -
As American it’s absolutely mind blowing. How many more Canadians try to deal with the problems of the U.S.. rather than attack their own problems, they try to tell us how things should be done. Imagine if an American were to tell them how to run their healthcare system.

-
Wow!As a world peace supporter it’s absolutely mind blowing. How many more Americans try to deal with the problems of Middle East..rather than attack their own problems, like gun control. Imagine if an Middle Eastern were to tell U.S how to run only their country not Middle East.
-
I agree. I never said a word about the Middle East. I wish the U.S. would pull out of the U.N. and not give a dime to most of these countries. Then let them hash it out the way they want. The U.S. would save a lot of money and pay our debts down also might be able to lower taxes.
-
We could pay down our debts as a nation if we simply didn't give the wealthy class unneeded tax cuts at the expense of the other 98%
-
Less than 2000 people in the US pay a total of 70% of all income taxes collected. You don’t think the rich pay their fair share?

Do you not understand the concept of possession? If you give me a coffee maker in a parking lot and I accept it the coffee maker is mine whether or not I use it... stick to child trafficking rescue.
-
He never says he took it home idiots...he says he never took possession..so it's likely still in th e's friends possession ..someone can give me a coffee maker in a parking lot and I have them put it back in their trunk..they have it to me but I still haven't taken possession..
-
Lol by him saying "i've not fired it, not sure I ever will" implies that he still has the ability to fire it. Aka it is in his possession. I'm not sure who told him he has to USE a gun to "take possession" of it, but hes wrong.
-
I believe he has brandished a firearm to ward off an intruder but never shot it, thankfully. That’s possession. That being said, he is one of the few sane persons in Hollywood trying to do good work instead of grasping at the straws of a moral high ground HollyWood can’t find.
-
Not necessarily possession of the firearm GIVEN to him..hes a known hunter, hes known to shoot trap, it's not inconcievable that he also owns more then one..but yes he is on the right track..many of us own and care for our own weapons still believe in adequate gun laws
-
He didn't say "I've never fired a gun before" he said "I've never fired IT before." Here, "it" would be a pronoun replacing the word "gun" from the previous sentence. He implies possession of that particular gun, not just guns in general.

And yet again, the point was missed...... how much longer do we have to wait for sensible gun control to be a real discussion? Instead of this?
-
People get more angry on purposely misunderstood tweets than on the actual matter. Sad.
-
Yes! This is what the media wants unfortunately.

Is that the same thing as admitting to smoking marijuana but not inhaling? Seriously, get a grip. When celebrities stop employing security personnel who own guns i may consider believing their rants.

Doesn’t the term “gave” lend us to believe there was a change in possession from your friend to you?
-
"gave" implies that you took possession of it. Now you try to back pedal and say you didn't

I think you've done great things. You made a mistake here, however. Don't back pedal; admit you didn't know the law, admit people not following laws can be a huge factor in why criminals get guns, turn said gun in, and go on. You were wrong. You didn't know the law.
