from the mildly depressed who's been on Prozac to the extreme schizophrenic? If you risk losing your rights, will you admit to a Dr. that you're feeling depressed? How many deaths would be caused by stigmatized people not asking for help? (2)

A gun for a gift in the parking lot. I’m from Texas and have multiple guns in my home and even I find that scenario highly implausible. Not to mention the convenient timing of this special gift. Which, if circumstances describe are true, violates state law.

Ashton if someone had that gun in the bar it could have saved many lives. CA already has the strictest gun laws. What more can they do? Criminals don’t follow laws anyway and if they want to hurt someone they’ll find a way.

And he misses the obvious point. Several actually. If it's that easy for him to receive a gun illegally, what laws - words on paper - could possibly prevent someone with criminal intent from doing the same.
