(4) _Ahe Thd Yearidy Ti Isa_, an asemic novel generated with a suite of GANs trained on bitmaps of English words, with samples from the GANs arranged in a kind of novel-like fashion https://github.com/NaNoGenMo/2019/issues/144 … accompanying bonus book includes interpolations through the latent spacepic.twitter.com/2o94FrRbgP

hi, I did four nanogenmo (national novel generation month https://nanogenmo.github.io/ ) projects this year and wanted to share. in no particular order: (1) _Bobey Dig_: Moby Dick re-written w/a seq2seq model so that it seems like the narrator has a head cold https://github.com/NaNoGenMo/2019/issues/96 …pic.twitter.com/6QqjoKojde

the interpolated words come from injecting averaged-together hidden states into a sequence-to-sequence model I trained to translate spelling to phonemes to spelling, producing neologisms that sorta sound halfway between the adjacent words. here are some of my favs from the zine:pic.twitter.com/M59bcH2vzi

hello all, I made a very simple javascript framework called Sea Duck for simulating narrative events and turning them into text with tracery: https://github.com/aparrish/seaduck … you can use it (among other things) to make tiny domestic narratives like this... https://editor.p5js.org/allison.parrish/sketches/BJflApbcm …pic.twitter.com/0kn2QAQ6p8

the chatbot in the notebook is built from the Cornell Movie Dialog Corpus, so you sort of have to play along with it like it's an improv game. here's what a typical session looks like. (it's fun! but definitely brings along with it everything problematic in typical movie dialog)pic.twitter.com/2clemxYNL0

like I'm studying Zukofsky's _80 Flowers_ right now, a stunning and deep book of poetry written in the 1970s, which I'm pretty sure would perform poorly on any of the tests for "is this written by a human" proposed in a CS paperpic.twitter.com/vphl5Hxfkz

Miguel Castillo, a student of
@rafapyp, made this excellent spanish-language poetry generator based on phonetic similarity (inspired by Articulations!) http://www.miguelcastillocortes.com/portafolio/generador_de_poemas/ …pic.twitter.com/RIE3H3JTCz

this is such a good review of Etrian Odyssey V. I love this series and this review perfectly communicates its appeal https://waypoint.vice.com/en_us/article/ywbmbw/etrian-odyssey-v-is-incredibly-difficult-but-honest-about-the-danger …pic.twitter.com/N3gG1FlaZd
