Well done #Senegal #Africa 4leveraging your past experience & innovative solutions in the war against #covid19. $1.00 quick diagnostic testing kits and an3D printed ventilator that costs $60.00 vs an imported one that could cost $16,000 - a great example - see Aljazeera’s Reportpic.twitter.com/L28X7fBogU

This was so inspiring to watch, innovation for efficiency and to scale down costs. I watched this and thought why can't Nigeria do this, then I realised its the same way we don't do a lot of things we can and should do.

Nigeria won’t do this because there’s no avenue to chop and somebody must chop!

Highly commendable, this has been in the offing since March. My concern is how accurate the results from these kits will be.The DG of the NCDC had once said results from rapid tests kits like this have a high margin of error & that's why Nigeria preferred the molecular lab tests

Believe the corrupt govt if u will. Do u expect people benefiting from importing testing kits to tell you otherwise??

This is awesome. Now one wonders why would African states not support Senegal and buy these ventilators from them instead of importing the most expensive oversees ones?

Some would but most are not yet independent like SA. Ramaphosa will first have to consult with the Republic of Western Cape for approval.

Amazing! The government of Senegal is spending on education & health resulting in R&D and they are getting results. In Nigeria, we spend on our politicians and when oil is not selling anymore, we even cut from the peanuts that we allocate to education and health. Giant indeed...

Hi @TonyOElumelu, this looks like a game-changer that will change the global narrative to "Africa as the Rescuer of the World from COVID-19". It's also in line with your vision of #AfriCapitalism

I'm a TEF Entrepreneur and I admired the friendliness between you and President of Senegal @Macky_Sall during #TEForum2019. Can you consider putting a call through to him on how to license/mass-produce the tech to fight COVID-19 in Nigeria? 🙏🙏🙏
