Organized retail crime is weighing our City down - we can’t afford to lose these anchor stores. Waiting to hear back on my letter of inquiry from our DA @chesaboudin and Police Chief Bill Scott @SFPDChief on their coordinated strategy.https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/Target-San-Francisco-stores-reduced-hours-why-16284219.php …

Once again we're taking a corporation's word at face value. Even article notes "labor shortages" as another explanation for cutting hours (though the author somehow wonders why Costco, famous for providing good wages and benefits, hasn't had to do so).https://www.cato.org/blog/retailers-adjust-work-schedules-offset-minimum-wage-hikes …

This defies logic. A retailer would want to stay open as much as possible. The hourly rates of labor don’t change.

Different benefits for full vs part time employees, short term vs long term, etc.

Defies logic. It’s clear anyone writing this has never actually stepped foot into one of these stores to see for themselves. They will be looted in front of your eyes. Make ONE trip and report back what you find please.
