So many podcasts are recording videos now and I don’t get the use case? 🧐 Podcasts have always been something in the BG while I’m showering, driving, cooking or doing chores. Dedicating 100% attention to something where the value isn’t inherently visual seems like a waste🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s beyond just Christmas decorations or greetings at the office. There’s a huge push to slow down, recharge and spend time with family. Nothing major is pushed out in Q4 and the main focus is holiday readiness. And you can’t forget the multiple release freezes. (2/3)

It’s my first proper holiday season at work in Amsterdam and this is so unlike anything I imagined! Christmas parties at the office and out starting 2 weeks before Christmas, gift exchanges, holiday plans (that you’re actually encouraged to make) and more. (1/3)

There are Word PMs and there are PPT PMs. As a Word PM, I can say this thread is definitely bookmark worthy 🔖

Every PM needs to give an exec presentation sometimes. But many suck at it, wasting the chance to be noticed. How to easily turn a presentation into a clear, compelling story? 🧵

I remember seeing a US property where the checkout price was literally 2x the listing price. To decide, you had to go all the way to checkout and then start again. Ideally, it would be great to see the full price + taxes but this is still a big step in solving price transparency

I’ve heard you loud and clear—you feel like prices aren’t transparent and checkout tasks are a pain. That’s why we’re making 4 changes: 1. Starting next month, you’ll be able to see the total price you're paying up front.

Sharpening my skills on driving decisions and exec comms and dropped this at the perfect time :) “If I tell you everything, it’s because I don’t know what to do with the information – I’m leaving it to you to find the point of my argument"

5. Apple Pay Technically, Google Pay and Samsung Pay function similarly but I just never adopted them. And I can't get over how incredibly simple it is to pay with Apple Pay. I might even be spending more because it's such a delightful experience 👀

3. Privacy You can definitely see how privacy is at the heart of everything. With every new app downloaded, you're given a choice to let the app track your activity outside the app or not. If an app is capturing your GPS in the background too often, you're notified of it.

2. Navigation Adjusting to the absence of the bottom nav was huge. But the swipe nav is just 🤌🏽🤌🏽 Swipe-right for 'Back' is a game changer. Swipe-down for minimised screen is so easy that the 3 clicks on the Samsung home key now feels tedious.

1. Notifications iPhone doesn't allow you to take action from the Notifications screen (apart from open / clear) and that's slightly annoying, especially for WhatsApp messages. But Scheduled Notifications 🙌🏽 Declutters so much spam and only delivers the imp ones immediately.

All you need to able to understand / assess a PM is a product document they wrote. Tells you everything you need. - Is there a DARCI / RACI? - Is there OKR alignment? - Is there clarity of thought? - Does it show enough collab? - Is the opportunity space supported with research?

I've been a Product Manager and I've been a Product Owner. There's absolutely no difference in job responsibilities. Technically, PM = PO + Strategy + Planning But in reality, POs end up doing the job of PMs anyway. Can we just agree to only have PM roles please?

The logical next step is to look at how the auto removal / hiding of watched titles affects the Recommendation space. Ideally, I’d like to be guided by how much of the recommendation engine’s success is attributed to activity from watched titles on My List.
