I am disappointed with the results of #COP25.
The international community lost an important opportunity to show increased ambition on mitigation, adaptation & finance to tackle the climate crisis.
But we must not give up, and I will not give up.
I am more determined than ever to work for 2020 to be the year in which all countries commit to do what science tells us is necessary to reach carbon neutrality in 2050 and a no more than 1.5 degree temperature rise. #ClimateAction
As long as Industrial growth occurs, climate change will worsen further
Not necessarily, here in the UK we've uncoupled economic growth from the previously inevitable carbon emissions, by including renewable energy in our industrial growth strategy. We've reduced emissions ~40% from 1990, and have experienced decent growth all round. It can be done.
The only moral response is for us all to boycott ALL goods and services originating from the Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India and the US. To do otherwise would simply encourage their criminal neglect of their responsibility to the planet.
Except oil and gas. I don’t think anyone should boycott Canadian Oil and Gas cause...

There isn't any climate crisis
Until and unless the international community begins to acknowledge that the Paris Agreement will simply not work @GlasgowCOP26 will be another flop and future COPs will have similar outcomes. The time has come to adopt pragmatic Real Politik.
