TBF that is mostly a small town thing. I still don’t get carded by the one bounce (25 years tenure) at my #1 bar in my hometown. But it is nice.
The servers at Anacortes' Brown Lantern, the sailor's bar in this crusty fishing/boating town, recognized me in an instant, despite a mask and 1.5 years of absence. They poured my regular without hesitation. Bittersweet to sell my stake in the PNW, this magical part of the US.
