Of course I have. Or snowboarded rather. It's thrilling, but absolutely brainless. Read any good skiing novels? I don't think so. Car racing at least has the technical/engineering aspect to it.
And ocean sailing has an epic conflict between merciless nature and man, was the means of global commerce and exploration....lots of sailing novels. But skiing? C'mon. It's at best a kind of amusing, frivolous activity.
