        If you include video and audio in oral culture maybe but isn't everything stored in some format? And given the costs it's likely to be stored forever? Future historians will struggle with the volume of information and how to make sense of it probably.

        I recommend checking out the writings of the Jesuit priest Walter Ong, who explored how the transition from orality to literacy influenced culture and changed human consciousness.

        Oh yeah....have read him extensively, as well the work he builds on (Parry, Lord, Havelock). This is the second book idea I paused.
