Just test drove a Tesla 3. It's fairly WOW. Really redefines the concept of 'automobile'. Interesting how the software/hardware hybrid of a modern car is rebooted in the software direction: there are no interfaces inside it other than a huge screen and a wheel.

AWD is fun, but cold weather range is disappointing.

Negative. I bought two Model 3's for teenage family members who just drove them thru the TN winter. If a teenage kid can figure it out, I'm sure an adult will have no problem. One put 9000 miles on her car in 5 months, so PUH-leeze don't tell me they don't drive much...

I assumed a Mustang-branded, whisper quiet car would have been absolute anathema for you. If you check it out, let us know if you like it. I'm sorely tempted by that AWD GT coming out this summer.

If you do road trips, be sure to check out the charging network(s) first. Tesla’s Supercharger network is way ahead and completely plug & play. If you just want an around-town runabout, any EV should be adequate.

^^this is huge part of why Tesla succeeding.

The Mach E is nothing compared to a Model Y. More expensive, less range, less performance, and it’s been having so many problems recently. Quality control, charging problems, and you don’t get the advantage of one of the worlds safest cars, autopilot, and especially superchargers
