Just test drove a Tesla 3. It's fairly WOW. Really redefines the concept of 'automobile'. Interesting how the software/hardware hybrid of a modern car is rebooted in the software direction: there are no interfaces inside it other than a huge screen and a wheel.
The car seemed to be issuing panicky alarms constantly, presumably due to my dynamic driving style. The little car figure in the display had constant yellow haloes appearing around it, like the Enterprise taking fire from the Klingons. One assumes that can be configured off.

No, actually vent control is amazingly better than older systems. Just thinking this in a rental car last week.

I will not drive a vehicle without a tactile interface for audio, ventilation, and lights. Touchscreens *demand* that you take your eyes off the road to use them.
I love Tesla's design for the vehicle. I love the idea of owning a performant EV. I can't get over the fact that it is even legal to put in controls that you have to remove your eyes from the road to use at even a basic level.
