I'm sure that's true. But I have no reason to fire the guy. His rate is reasonable, and he does my returns in a timely fashion, correctly handling weird shit like private stock sales (and putting up with my flakiness). It just seems so.....locked in.

Even harder if you’re a private practice prof like a Dr, Dentist, or Lawyer. Billing gets fucky and if the CPA you have a vibe/tuned into with quits or retires it’s years of pain to find another good one sometimes
