'Algorithms' have come to mean the demonic spirits that inhabit technology responsible for whatever mysterious events in the world the normies need to explain.

Ironically, the “algorithms” we hate on are less intrusive than the ones many of us demand. As many have documented, it’s all down to what you choose to look at. That said, it’s generally understood you shouldn’t eat 10,000 calories a day or have 10 drinks or smoke 100 cigarettes

What algorithms do is put those things in our mouths because we ate them once. Cultivating a balanced algorithm biome basically asks us to spit those things out.

Given that they are often designed to be opaque, powerful filters and techniques, that seems like a reasonable enough way to think about it...I don't get the disdain, unless I'm misreading?

A new dimension for demons to exploit. OK I am getting poetic here but the point stands
