I understand the “hearing” is not actually to hear anything. But congresspeople following answers with “the right answer is yes”, kinda defies the whole point. What’s the downside of saying I refuse to answer questions if you’re not interested in the answer? @jack is almost there
Not sure that the congresspeople turning the hearing into a customer support session for anecdotal slips in moderation is really as useful or as rhetorically impactful as they think. It just sounds like your older relative in the sticks asking for IT support.

Isn't this just how politicians think about technology in general? Abstraction is impossible, a collection of anecdotes isn't data but just more anecdotes, the people need their Congressperson to stand up for that one time their post got deleted
