The challenge here is that everyone is winging it a little bit, so having the self-awareness to realize if you're in the normal range of stretched competence or in the 'so in over my head I can't see daylight' zone is key.

Generally, actual impostors don't have impostors syndrome. They have C-level positions and plenty of VPs and VCs to reinforce their incompetence.
