Wow. Those moments when you feel good about paying taxes, and the miracles they can produce in the hands of a competent state.https://twitter.com/RedDogT3/status/1061367161342574604 …

I mean, you don't need taxes to do that. But yeah... awesome.

I mean, good thing the government was here to build that 747 right? Think about how many hats got passed around to build and fly it.pic.twitter.com/YQ5UFTcl1R

747s have four engines - that plane was a 737.

Hmm, I know they deployed the Supertanker, this must be one of the newer 737s. Cool. https://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/737-Firefighting-Aircraft-Under-Testing-230989-1.html … So all anyone's tax dollars are doing here is paying the company to join the fight. These are privately developed and operated. Pass the hat around!!!

Right, so we elect officials who will determine if those planes are funded...seem's more practical than putting every single spending measure on a ballot for the masses to decide.

Would be better to let the free market handle this. Taxation is theft.

A state which has incentivized unsustainable overdevelopment of a semiarid region through centrally planned and funded water works. They have rice paddies outside of Sacramento. Says a lot about how distorted water reality is in CA. Solving a problem they created.

It was your government which failed to adequately allocate your tax dollars over the past decade to management of the wilderness urban interface, and now you praise that government.
