About to head into town to watch the election results come in at the brewery. Headed out, caught sight of the gun safe, and for a fleeting instant thought "what if there's violence tonight?" Then thought, "nah...this is still America."

I was in Buenos Aires when Sr. Kirschner was elected. It can get sideways right quick.

Dude don’t bring a handgun to the brewery. That is soooo illegal unless you’re going to be drinking rootbeer with the rest of my sons.

Carry laws vary by state. It's actually legal in WA to be inside a drinking establishment armed, just not actually sit at the bar (assuming entire business is not 21 and over only). Weird but true.

Wow, interesting. I almost got in some serious trouble in high school shooting a hand gun in the mountains camping (we had a keg of beer tilted at the edge of a stream).

Anecdote: In Wyoming it was legal for everyone to be drinking in the car except the driver until relatively recently. There were drive-through liquor stores that sold margaritas with tape over the straws (“closed container”). Very convenient when road tripping to a lake.

I wouldn’t say everyone just accepted the last election. I mean, they aren’t doing anything effective, but they have reached acceptance yet.
