At some point I read the specs. Not only does the genealogy have to be solid going back centuries, there's a language and culture test too.

That does sound impossible- which is weird because we see ads here in Israel (like on fb & insta) for legal services to help ppl obtain “a Spanish passport”

Well, I think the Sephardic connection will be much easier for people from areas where those communities survived (e.g. Turkey). But in the US, they were a hidden, niche thing...two centuries ago. And you have to create a connection from now to that. Forget speaking Ladino...
