When some New Yorker emails with an Eastern meeting time, I always change it to a Pacific one, as a subtle power move. If everyone gets confused, too bad.

this opinion is so absurd it's hard to even get mad at
-
LOL. No it isn't. Lived years in the LES, and know of what I speak. NYers are delusional about a lot of things, and their pizza/bagel quality is one of those things (not that that many of them even eat them that often...this is mostly posturing).
-
You've staked your respective claims. This should be settled with a duel or...some sort of scientitic experiment.
-
Waiting on Ari to post a randomly selected NYC street bagel pic tomorrow morning. I'll post my bagel from Alameda. Mine will actually be boiled...his will not. What's funny is he probably doesn't even eat bagels for breakfast often, while I have one every morning in CA.
-
toast doesn't count as a bagel fyi
-
Experiment design: select X random street addresses in 5 boroughs. Purchase plain bagel from closest purveyor of bagels ("avg NY bagel"). Compare vs equal number of Alameda bagels ("Antonio's bagels"). Fly them same day to middle of country for taste test.
-
people get in their feelings about this, but if you freeze them right after you buy them, they defrost really nicely in the toaster.
-
which is what I did to get them cross county. packed them in a cooler w/ ice packs. had to check that bag of course.
