VC elites dabbling in CA politics is *definitely* what we need. You need to shake up this political snooze-fest we have in the Golden State.

I reject you’re reductionist labeling. I invest in companies because that pays the bills, but prefer to be thought of first as an artist. It’s just that nobody will buy my crap art.

I aspire to one day invest in companies because "that's what pays the bills". Kind of like I aspire to founding a company "not for the money, but because of the mission"....

I early that’s a lie, it doesn’t pay the bills, it’s all money out, but I’m hoping it pays the retirement bills. Maybe I’ll buy some land by you. The wood cutting pics make me nostalgic for PNW life.

Did I mention the PNW is modeled as being one of the few areas of the US that'll remain happily habitable following climate change?

Do you believe in “the really big one”?

Rather deal with the big one in the PNW than the little one in CA (which will be a shit show).

Your yurt is more likely to withstand the big one than my Victorian, despite a fair amount of structural engineering. Seattle might be fucked though.

Possibly. I paid extra for the heavy snow bracing kit to give me a fighting chance if a tree came down. Having been through earthquakes in SF Victorians (and been astonished at the shaking), I might bet on the yurt. Mostly, it'll come down to fighting for the burritos after.
