I studied evangelical Christians in college. What surprises me most about this program and church is the quality of the website. Not that long ago, many churches didn't even have websites... or they looked like Berkshire Hathaway's.

That promo video is pretty good, as is the site. Also, 473 acres! That's not lunch money, even in Ohio. Maybe this thing makes a pile of cash.

Yup! I guarantee you they make more money in a year than many tech startups. It's like scaling religion – 22 locations and growing.

Yes, I recall listening to a podcast recently (maybe
@ThisAmerLife) where they interviewed what could only be called a religious entrepreneur: two young evangelicals who raise money for a church, try to create it, raise more money, etc. A startup, but for God. Trippy. -
Yeah it was the latest series of “startup” the podcast by gimlet media. I studied to be a preacher and then got into startups so this is an unusual niche that I know a lot about. A lot of the same personality traits are required to be good in either category.

Personally, I think it's a shame that fraternal organizations are gone. outside of college, where do men go to talk with other men?

The outsourcing of friends and family to for-profit/paid communities, be it IRL or online, is a sucking gaping rabbit hole people fall into.
