Putting education aside, I'm confused as to why a working class person wouldn't want to pay a less amount of money for the same exact service. How they could let the word "tax" get in the way of that is beyond me.

Support for social programs is driven by pragmatism (costs less overall), or compassion. Pushback is almost universally based on who will benefit (but you often have to ask questions to get that to come out). I'm not judging; all 3 perspectives are valid and need reconcilliation

This is a strawman you've constructed. If college were free or had no debt then students could choose to go into any subject, including maths, sciences, etc, not just "oppression studies".

There are no dem politicians who want to increase costs for the working class for these things. They want to increase costs/taxes on people who are extremely wealthy, but lower them for working class. The belief otherwise is just a smear used against them by lying politicians.
