nonprofits need serious reform (and eventually unofficial abolition due to lack of necessity). I mean, practically everything in America does, but reform them too while we're at it.

yes, worked in human service non profits my entire life. they often serve themselves and not people. overly complex and confusing. pay management way too much.

Amen! If government was equitable &protected&cared for people they wouldn’t need 2exist. They exist as tax write-offs 4 the rich 2 play the white savior & 2 b able to give to those they deem as worthy. No disrespect to u & others good & much needed work. Wish it wasn’t necessary

more wasteful than the funds we "donate" to washington every January. At least non profits aren't sending men with guns to my door to persuade me to donate.

Can they be wasteful? Sure. But millions of people benefit from them so cutting non profits out of the picture so they can be replaced by something republicans can cut every 4 years doesnt sound realistic.

Clinton Foundation and wounded warriors are prime examples of waste.

Even if a charity is well-run, the government could probably do it better if you got the right people in there.

Many community nonprofits provide necessary services for for people unable to access limited government services or support programs. Communities would suffer greatly if not for non-profit support.
