There's an MLK Blvd and a Cesar Chavez Drive in Milwaukee and both are in different hoods. Neither has seen a bit of relief from the government or society beyond those who live/have lived in its boundaries. The namesakes would be in the streets asking for more.

You know the MLK Blvd in Vegas/Los Angeles are in the hood side of town. It might be the cleaner side of the hood, but it’s still hood.

It’s starting to gentrify in LA at least. Not fully populated by bearded white baristas, but it has a very different vibe than even 5 years ago. Excellent bike lanes too!

Ours starts in our downtown biz district, then extends thru several hoods. There’s an old racist rich man’s special membership club who legit *moved* their main entrance around the corner when we named our MLK Blvd so they wouldn’t have it as their address
