Total and abject failure here at ATL Airport today. I am stuck on @delta flight, passengers and crew tolerating it. But there is no excuse for lack of workable redundant power source. NONE! #atlairport #delta

i think the anger is more about the big bad US not having adequate infrastructure... but given our soon to be trillion dollar addition the debt, not sure it will be fixed anytime soon.

I don't disagree with that at all - but a major fire caused severe damage at the Atlanta airport, and that falls under the category of shit happens. I was stranded for 3 days at an airport 16 years ago after a blizzard. I slept on the floor.

Busiest airport in US being completely shut down sounds like a national security issue if you ask me. Unbelievable they dont have back up power. How many solar panels could you put on that structure? Same for those elderly hospitals in FL that didnt have back up power or PR.

Sorry, there's no money in the budget for infrastructure improvements. The rich and corporations, like Delta who takes care of maintenance since it is their hub, need the money more.
