    This is the stupidest argument I have ever seen. Granted we are not growing but in order to reach optimal resource to population ratio, we need perhaps TFR of 1.0 or below. We need to decelarate now!

    I repeat, for the Nth time India's population growth pressure from Birth side has ended. Why? The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) touching 2.1 which is RFR (Replacement Fertility Rate). Proof? Per cent of 0 to 14 yr olds reducing sharply. Popln rising as death rates have dropped.
