Step one: Start a massive propaganda exercise declaring the Good Friday Agreement already dead. Step two: Feel good that whatever happens to Northern Ireland isn't your fault, it would have happened anyway.

The truth is that the actual power sharing executive is just one part of the GFA. The real meat was enshrining legal and cultural equality and human rights for both communities. Be Irish, be British, you're both equal in law and esteem.

It also dropped the UK's claim on the Republic of Ireland as part of its sovereign territory. Ireland dropped their claim on Northern Ireland as part of theirs. Turns out in the past politicians were able to be mature reasonable adults about issues of sovereignty. Amazing.
