I said it was a "continuation" for a reason! Though not much real code was carried over, Seamonkey was a successor (and that later split into Firebird/Firefox and Thunderbird).
There was some significant code carried forward. For example, Spidermonkey, the browser's JavaScript engine was maintained and is still in use today in Firefox and Servo. NSS was also carried forward.
