thing is, huge numbers of people were pro-EEC (around 70%) back then.

also immigration wasn't an issue. Leavers were generally more pro-immigration than the rest of the population.

I did pick up a pamphlet "Revolutionary Conservative" from a Tory fringe group. Sort of proto-Alt Right / ENR. Anti-American.
