The major issue the legacy media have with "ALGORITHMS" is they don't do polite fictions.

Giving an AI a database of polite fictions to observe defeats the purpose of them being polite fictions, so they would have to be learned.

Although @shieldfoss makes a good point that to a large extent the complaint is just misplaced; doing an experiment without control queries.
