We should put Hansard (transcript of parliamentary debates) on a block chain.

@anomalyuk And? I'm thinking a specific block chain for Parliamentary records. -
@JamieJBartlett please, look at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Git_(software) … and also http://github.com technical people already store everything this way -
@anomalyuk Yes I know this obviously. What's your point? -
@JamieJBartlett I'm trying to pin down what you mean by blockchain. BTC style blockchain with peer broadcasts is not cheap. -
@JamieJBartlett OTOH if you mean "they should put up a git repo of Hansard" you should say so because it's much clearer. And a good idea. -
@anomalyuk I meant create a new block chain for parliamenary records. But your suggestion also good, and with same ultimate purpose! -
@JamieJBartlett glad we agree, but to labour the point, I think it's the same thing. The distributed tamperproof storage of git is what... -
@JamieJBartlett ...was combined with p2p networks and proof-of-work to create blockchains. So it's your idea not mine, I'm just clarifying
