Introducing "inclusiveness" as a goal of a conference would have seemed a very reasonable and beneficial goal.

But what was really happening was an establishment of authority over conferences by a sect of political extremists. That was the true goal.

End result, good stuff is being actively kept out by the commissars. Opposite of organisers' original intention in opening the door to them.

I have great sympathy for @puredanger in this affair, as I did for Mozilla over Eich. Critics misunderstand where the power really lies.
