Does the reason UK (from afar POV) doesn’t seem to ‘care’ about mass rapes of underage girls in their nation boil down not to ‘political correctness’ but to class? They are from low-class areas/towns anyway, to UK elites have trouble sympathizing or going out on a limb?

Kind of. The real issue is that the UK has a real problem with endemic crime and violence from out-of-control lower class teenagers. Nearly all of the victims of the gangs are girls in care homes, or messed-up underclass families.

The people nominally responsible for protecting these kids -- social workers and police -- have nightmare day-to-day lives of trying to prevent them doing too much damage.

There are one or two cases where the victims had actual responsible parents. Those are the ones that got the gangs busted.
