Information asymmetry is true, but it's putting it mildly. In politicians' memoirs, it's clear that even they are struggling to master the actual government questions they have to answer, so passing those difficulties on to voters is really not helping

Do we need to reimagine what an "elected rep", i.e. the politician should be. Why are they standing for elections and acting as "people's representatives" if they are not sufficiently informed and empowered to meaningfully answer questions.
